The Blew Regiment was one of the six trained bands within the City of London in the early years of the English Civil War. These regiments were the forerunner of the New Model Army. Click here to find out more about the history of the English Civil War and the London trained bands.

There are two sides to the regiment. Firstly, we aim to portray a Company of the Blew Regiment, London Trayned Bands, in the campaign season of 1643. Secondly, but perhaps more importantly, we are a group of like minded people who enjoy getting together and having good times and perhaps a little bit of escapism. Battles only form a small part of our weekends and people can spend the rest of their time doing what suits them best whether it's rocking to a band in the beer tent, joining a fancy dress party, singing a song or just relaxing with friends.
