Off the Field

Battles and displays form just a small part of our time together. Away from the battle field there are things for people of all ages and personalities. Some people may prefer to sit with friends in the campsite, perhaps passing round a bottle of port and having a sing and some may prefer to head off to the beer tent to listen to the band or go to a local pub. Imagine something crossed between a festival and a fancy dress party.

Children from the age of 11 can attend the Apprentice at Arms which allows our younger members to try out different arms of the society and start to learn the drill ready for when they can go on the field at age 16. Sealed Knot musters are child friendly and everyone looks out for each other and their children. Some members join at birth with our youngest recruit being 5 days old!
