The Followers
The followers are the people who keep the regiment going. Battles are hard work and we need to drink large amounts of water, particularly on hot days. The climate was going through a cool period during the English Civil War and clothing tended to be warmer, constructed out of layers of wool and linen and worn in multiple layers. Wearing the same clothing in the modern British, or even Continental, summers means it's thirsty work. Our followers make sure we drink enough water but also check members have eaten properly and check on their safety on a regular basis through the battle.
